Okay so I don't usually make links to current events but when I read this it was a "only in Thailand" moment. Well perhaps there are other parts of the world were bus divers and Buddhist monks come together in one news story about transit safety, but definitely not in North America or the UK. Transit safety is certainly something that should be taken seriously and there are aspects of Thai public transit that would not make western standards. I've been on more sketchy forms transit, and made conscious decisions not to travels other forms of transit, than I had ever considered before.
